Flowers and Candy | Portland, Maine | Commercial and Lifestyle Photographer

My flower prints have found a new home! They can now be found at Flowers and Candy right in the old port of Portland. A little about the shop: “Objects of Desire & Essentials of Utility. Locally made Candy, Leather Bags, Hats, Clothing, and Accessories. Made in Maine to go everywhere.”

Eden, the owner, is lovely and has curated a lovely selection of items and edibles. Go check out her little shop!

Fita Preta Winery | Portugal | Portland, Maine Commercial and Lifestyle Photographer

We visited the Fita Preta Winery on a sunny afternoon in Portugal. I was a little nervous to be wine tasting with a toddler in tow, but they were unfazed by this (honestly most of Portugal was unfazed when we told them we were bringing a child). We spent the afternoon sipping on wine, learning about their processes, getting a tour of their facility and walking among some ruins they have on their property. It was a lovely experience and we can’t wait to go back one day.

Petalage Florals | CERAMICA CO | Skye's Artisan Bakes | Portland, Maine | Commercial and Lifestyle photographer

I got to spend the afternoon with some magical ladies who all make different things. Michelle from Petalage, Hannah from Ceramica Co., and Mackenzie from Skye’s Artisan Bakes.

The three girls are all friends and they invited me in to capture the work they create. I had a lot of fun talking and getting lost in my head while creating some dreamy images.

The Breathing Room | Portland, Maine | Commercial and Lifestyle Photographer

I loved working for The Breathing Room on some of their studio photos last summer.

I’m looking forward to making some more magic with them over the next few weeks.

For New Hampshire’s Ski-Home Buyers, The Icier The Better | Portland, Maine | Commercial and Lifestyle Photographer

Back in 2019 I had the opportunity to travel to NH and take some photos for The Wall Street Journal. I had a lot of fun spending time in this beautiful house in the mountains.

Cherry Blossoms | Portland, Maine | Commercial and Lifestyle Photographer

I create LOTS of still life photos, always trying to emulate the great Dutch Masters and I decided that every season I’m going to make one of my still life photos available for free download to be used as wallpaper on your desktop or phone! This is one of my personal favorites and is my current phone lock screen.

Avocado Dye Summer Dresses | Portland, Maine | Commercial and Lifestyle Photographer

Last year, I saved around 40 avocado pits to dye one of my favorite white dresses pink that had gotten some random dark spots on it. The dress was too new to donate and just needed some new life breathed into it.

I placed the pits in a cheese cloth and then into a LARGE pot and boiled them until the water was very pink . I left the dress in the pot for around 4 hours (until it reached the desired pink hue I was going for) and then simply rinsed it with cold water and voila! It was like having a new dress.

Laura Sprinkle | Commercial and Lifestyle Photographer Portland, Maine

Back in December Laura Sprinkle asked me to photograph her for her website revamp that was coming in a few months. The day was filled with lots of confetti, dancing, and a 90’s playlist that really got Laura’s heart pumping.

Thank You Design | Commercial and Lifestyle Photographer Portland, Maine

I got to photograph Thank You Design’s new website photos and it was truly a pleasure. The day was jam-packed, about 30 minutes after I got there and unpacked I got a frantic call from my husband telling me that our basement had flooded so badly that he was shoveling water out of our basement through the windows. We had been having some work done on our roof and the workers left tarps on the roof through a storm that funneled lots of water into our basement.

ANYWAY, even though I was pushing really hard to get some good photos so that I could get back to help my little family I’m proud of what I was able to capture in that short amount of time.

Tula | Portland, Maine Commercial Photographer

Tula was a lovely yoga studio in South Portland, Maine. It was my local spot and I loved it dearly. I got to call them a client and while also being one of their happy clients. It, unfortunately, closed down due to COVID. As the world starts to open up again and we all start to get hopeful again I can’t wait to get to know small studios again.

Shucks Maine Lobster | Portland, Maine Product Photographer

Some work I did last year for Shucks Maine Lobster

I did these during the first summer of COVID in my home without a stylist. It is a lot to have to think about lighting and composition for a product shoot, but I had so much fun getting in my own head and making these images come to life.

Flux Jewelry | Portland, Maine | Commercial Photographer

I got the opportunity to do some work for Flux Jewelry this year. Not only is Carly just a lovely individual, but she is also an incredibly talented artist. I’m not going to lie, I LOVED working with these pieces and I might have worn them around my house wishing they were a part of my personal jewelry collection.

I’d love to hear what you think!
